Yaa Boayke got to chat with Emily in today’s episode. Emily Bergey (BURR-GHEE) is a Registered Dietitian and health & wellness coach from Pennsylvania. She has been practicing as a dietitian for 6 years, with the majority of her practice being in long-term care. For the past 4 years, she has been a Regional Dietitian, supporting the nutritional well-being of residents within six long-term care communities. Now she has gone from helping seniors gain weight, to helping young women who have struggled with being “skinny”, finally gain the weight they want in a healthy and sustainable way. Emily teaches her clients how to eat enough calories & protein without feeling overwhelmed or sick, so they can gain weight to feel curvy, energized, and confident. Emily loves to use her creativity, humor, and compassion to inspire herself and others.
“I google searched, “how to gain weight.” All that comes up is, “How do you lose weight?” “Eat away at that belly fat!” “How to lose fat, blast fat”, when you’re really skinny, you’re like, “No, I want a little bit of fat.
